Woodworking can be relaxing and fun for folks of all ages. Contrary to popular opinion (formed after watching "the New Yankee Workshop") this great American passtime isn't reserved for middle-aged white men with lots of spare cash! Dive in and enjoy it!

InTheWorkshop asked:

Hey everyone, many of you have found me here on u-tube and many of you found me because of an article that appeared in Woodworker’s Journal this week (8/28/07). I am overwhelmed at the numbers of my new woodworking friends. I look forward to getting to know you better, like I have my new friend Bob from Wisconsin, he’s actually driving to Virginia to see me in a few weeks where we will meet for the first time.

Bob loves woodworking and wood, you’ve got to get in touch with him if you enjoy finer wood for your woodworking projects, I can’t say enough about the woodworking tips he has shared with me and I him.

That is what this endeavor is all about, taking passionate woodworkers and sharing all of our woodworking experience with each other.

I so look forward to getting to know all of you out there in the woodworking world.

Be safe in your shop and get out there and woodwork! Better yet, get a youngster out there in the shop with you, you can make a difference and we can, together, bring woodworking back to the younger generations.

Be Safe

Charles Neil

Thanks for the posting. Nothing like the whisper of a good plane, and a fine curl.
I’m glad I found your site.
re tiger maple,…can’t think of a wood I love more,…New Hampshire flat top highboy, with a slight pattern…. or toss in an 1820’s or so pc, done up simply with curly maple,..it just works!
